Bavarian Free Spirits

The Bavarian free spirits take you with them on a tour of their wine cellars, pastures and mountain huts. These people are as unique as their creations, yet they all have one thing in common: They are deeply rooted in Bavaria.

The personalities in our stories transform the traditional yet modern state of Bavaria into a unique visitor experience. However, they would not be free spirits if they didn’t give the Bavarian traditions their own particular twist. So it is that the Alpine herdsman turns opera star in the winter, and the wild winemaker makes thoroughly modern wine using old traditions. The Bavarian craftspeople and artists in this section are authentic, creative - and still archetypically Bavarian.

These free spirits love their native towns with their customs and their Bavarian way of life. And they also run their businesses there. They may be well known in the international art and gourmet scene – but they can only be found and experienced in their element in their Bavarian homeland.

Get a real insight into how the young, wild Bavarians embody local traditions in their fine craftsmanship, while also forging their own paths.
